Lisa Schmitz, founder of For the Love of Speedway, has created race flag pennants for fans to use in decorating their homes for more than 10 years. These pennants can be seen flying on homes in Speedway, Indianapolis, all around Indiana and nationwide. Slow stitching is an ancient practice, although the term is relatively new. To slow stitch is to take time to mindfully create something through stitching with needle and thread. It can include embroidery style stitches, or simple running or straight stitches.
